THE DESIGN BRIEF

My clients recently acquired a farm. The county it's in requires a native plant buffer zone around all wetlands, which ended up being several acres on this farm. Overwhelmed by the scope of this project, my clients reached out to me to design the wetlands restoration areas. Beyond meeting the legal requirements, the only other requests I had from my clients included a meadow area, lots of color, plants that support birds, and whimsy! 

I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to work on this project. I never thought I'd get to design a living plant "waterfall" that doubles as an address sign. I think whimsy should be a requirement for every garden now!
